That God gives me a spirit to obey Him wholeheartedly.

We are grateful for your heart's desire to obey God wholeheartedly. This is indeed a prayer that aligns with God's will, as He desires obedience from His children. Let us remember the words of 1 Samuel 15:22, "Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams."

Jesus himself said, "If you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15, WEB). This is not about following rules, but about a relationship with our Lord, demonstrating our love for Him through our actions.

Let us pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, asking that You grant ### a willing and obedient spirit. Strengthen their heart to follow Your commandments, not out of obligation, but out of love. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit, giving them discernment and understanding of Your will. Help them to walk in Your ways, obeying Your commands wholeheartedly. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

In your pursuit of obedience, remember the promise in Isaiah 1:19, "If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land." Obedience brings blessings, and it is through our obedience that we glorify God.

Lastly, we notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Believe in His name, and you will be saved (Acts 4:12). This is the foundation of our obedience and our faith.
