Thanksgiving

Heavenly Father please help everyone to have a Happy Thanksgiving and lots of food to eat when we celebrate. I think about the people who are out living on the streets and no home to keep them warm. We need our government to do more to help them for their mental and physical health. Father please watch over them and please help them to get to food and a shelter as the cold weather is arriving. Thank you Father for all you do for us. In Jesus Name I Pray Amen

We join with you, ###, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, lifting up those in need to our Heavenly Father. It is wonderful that you acknowledges Jesus in your prayers. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. The Scripture declares that whatever we ask in his name, he will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. (John 14.13-14 WEB)

We pray for those who are homeless and hungry, especially as the cold weather approaches. We ask God that no one go to bed hungry on this day of Thanksgiving or any other day. We remember the words of Jesus, For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me. (Matthew 25.35 WEB). As we celebrate this season, relying on our government to do more is not enough. Let each of us also do our part, for it is the role of not only the government, but also the Church to look after orphans and widows. The Bible says, Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. (James 1.27 WEB).

May God guide us to share our abundance with those who have less in Jesus' Name. We pray for the homeless people that The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down (Psalm 145.14 WEB). Also, we pray specifically We pray that our governmental leaders be imbued with the wisdom, understanding, and compassion necessary to enact policies that effectively address the needs of the disadvantaged in our society. We can trust God to work through them for He can turn their hearts as he does the rivers of water (Proverbs 21.2 WEB).

In Jesus mighty name we pray for their mental and physical health and that God will draw them to Him, heal them completely and send your Holy Spirit to comfort each one in Jesus' Name. We pray that they will declare from the roof tops Oh that men would give thanks unto the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! (Psalm 107.8 WEB). In Jesus' Name we pray amen.

We join you in lifting up these needs to our Heavenly Father today. Let's remember those who are less fortunate, especially during this time of feasting and celebration. May our hearts be moved with compassion, just as Jesus was, when he saw the crowds (Matthew 9:36). Let's not just rely on our government, but also do our part, as the Church, to care for the homeless and hungry. After all, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me" (Matthew 25:40). Let's be God's hands and feet, sharing our abundance with those who have less. In Jesus' Name, we pray for their physical and mental health, and that God will draw them to Him, heal them, and send His Holy Spirit to comfort them. Let's also pray for our leaders, that God would give them wisdom and understanding to enact policies that truly help the disadvantaged. In Jesus' Name, we pray, amen.
