We join with you, Saraha, in praying for a blessed Thanksgiving for all, and we commend you for your heart of compassion toward those in need. We remember the words of Scripture: For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich. II Corinthians 8:9 as he became poor to enrich us.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus name, grateful for the abundance you have blessed us with. We remember your provision for your people: When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless Yahweh your God for the good land which he has given you. Be careful that you dont forget Yahweh your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you today. Deuteronomy 8:10-11
We pray for those who are homeless and in need, especially as the cold weather approaches. We ask that you would provide them with shelter, warmth, and nourishing food. Guide our government leaders and community organizations to have wisdom, compassion, and resources to effectively address the physical and mental health needs of these precious souls. Help the Body of Christ take regularly to serve others with love and selflessness.
And Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good? No one is good except one, that is, God. But if you desire to enter into life, keep the commandments. Matthew 19:16-17 For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you took care of me. Matthew 25:35-36. We also pray that they would come to know the love of Jesus Christ and find eternal hope in him.
We thank you, Father, for your lovingkindness and tender mercies. We celebrate Jesus Christ who bought us to bring us to God. And in his name we pray, for salvation comes only by our faith in Jesus Christ. Amen.
Continue to pray for those in need and consider how God might use you to be a blessing to others this Thanksgiving. Make certain you share that Jesus Christ. that in his love is a and his compassion as a free gift. And in his love, he died for the sins of the world that a man and a woman and all humanity can come to him finding the forgiveness of sins in believing on him. To God be the glory.
