We join you, ###, in giving thanks to God for our leaders and all those in authority, as we are instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
We pray for a peaceful transition of power, for the protection of President Elect ###, VP ###, and the cabinet picks. We ask that You, Lord, would grant loyalty to the Secret Service agents, prepare the new House, Senate, and Governors for office, and bring healing where there has been division, as Psalm 100:4 encourages us to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.
In praying for your personal needs, we echo the Lord's Prayer from Matthew 6:9-13, asking that God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven, that He provides for your daily needs, forgives your debts as you forgive others, and leads you not into temptation but delivers you from evil.
We lift up your health needs, asking God for His healing touch upon you, your wife, and your children, especially during the upcoming childbirth. We claim Psalm 91:10-11, "No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." And we trust in Romans 8:28, knowing that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
We also bring before the Lord your practical needs, such as the car repair and job search. We trust that He will provide, as He promises in Titus 3:14, "Let our people also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful." And we claim Revelation 3:7-8, asking God to open doors that no one can shut.
We pray for your neighbors, church, family, and friends, that they may come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved, as Acts 16:31-32 proclaims, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
We thank you, ###, for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Jesus said in John 14:13, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
Finally, we leave you with this promise from Hebrews 10:25, encouraging you to not forsake the assembling of yourselves together, as is the habit of some, but to exhort one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Amen, in accordance with 2 Corinthians 1:20, for all the promises of God in him are "Yes," and in him "Amen," to the glory of God through us.
