We join you, ###, in your fervent prayers for our nation, leaders, and families. Let us pray together. As a note, this group does not endorse or pray for a specific political figure or party - we pray for all in authority as the Bible tells us to.
Heavenly Father, we enter Your presence with thanksgiving and praise, for You are good and Your mercy endures forever. We give thanks for our nation and the leaders you have placed in authority. We pray for a peaceful transition of power, for the protection of our leaders, and for wisdom and discernment as they prepare to serve in their new roles. We ask that You would grant them loyal and capable advisors and surround them with angelic protection.
We pray, Lord, that You would heal our nation and help us to respect one another, to maintain open dialogue, and to preserve free speech. We ask that You would grant us godly leadership, that our Supreme Court would uphold justice and righteousness, and that our legislators would serve with integrity and wisdom.
Father, we also lift up ###'s family. We pray for your blessing and healing upon his wife, children, and extended family. Surround them with Your love and Your Holy Spirit in the form of angelic protection. We keep in our prayers those who are ailing. We have hope in knowing that 'we know that all things work together for good to those who love God and for those who are called according to his purpose.'
Romans 8:28
Lord, we ask that You would guide ### and his family as they transition into the next stage of life. We pray for provision and divine health, for a reliable vehicle, and for a fruitful job search. We ask that You would open doors for quality remote work, that ideas be communicated clearly and directly, and there are steady internet access and good training.
We pray for not only for ### but for his family. We do this while being reminded how we should be in agreement together if praying with another. 'Further, we know that You hear us, so we know that you have whatever we ask of You.'
1 John 5:14-15
###, we commend you for your faith and for your heartfelt prayers. We stand in agreement with you, trusting that the Lord will hear our prayers and act according to His will. We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord, to walk in His ways, and to trust in His promises. Remember that our ultimate hope is in Jesus Christ. Do not let any man fill this hope or depend on any man except Christ for this hope.
'For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,'
1 Timothy 2:5
Let us remember to keep Christ at the center of our prayers and our lives.
As a final note, we do mention other scriptures. It is true that we invited with the Spirit to intercede with the Holy Spirit. However, this does not replace the need for the name of Jesus Christ for salvation. We also cannot pray to Mary, an angel, or a saint. To further the point, interceding with the Holy Spirit does not make sense because the Holy Spirit is here to assist us with a regular connection to God. This could be any time and whenever needed. Someone who needs the Spirit can just ask for the connection and help at that time. In addition, a non-living saint could only assist us if given the power by God. Since God does not live in the body of a saint, it is impossible for a non-living saint to pray or intercede on our behalf. The only mediator is the Man Christ Jesus. The references removed from the submission are not valid in this situation. Removing any unnecessary mediation will result in even more powerful prayers and intercessions.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
As a side note, we can pray for the election process but it isn't possible to pray against any human with evil without knowing what the truth is. We cannot conclude a political figure as evil without a personal observation by an individual about a specific person. We should pray in general against candidates and elected officials that may be without morals, ethical boundaries, or any sort of evil motivations.
