In all things, let's remember the Word. Honor the name of Jesus Christ, for he conquered the grave and reconciled us with God. Therefore it is In Jesus' Name that we pray and place our petitions before God. It is only by God's Will and the name of Jesus Christ that our requests can be made or answered. Further, we know God will not hear our prayers if we regard iniquity in our heart, regardless of the specific giving of our prayers.
First, we are instructed that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour. I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men For kings, and for all that are in authority that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. Such a guide is needed for those in authority to live godly lives.
Scripture addresses our minds towards God with thanks to consider items in right perspective. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, and bless his name. For Yahweh is good. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, and bless his name. Surely, this is guidance for all times and all prayers.
We must remember the Government is placed by God. Every person, let him be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except by God, and the existing authorities are appointed by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God, and they who withstand will receive judgment to themselves. For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. And do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same.
People should focus on raising families in the Lord, not on the stresses of leadership. Is it so hard to have peace, when those above should have to struggle to lead?
Further, do not forget Yahweh’s blessing as found in the Psalms: No evil will happen to you, neither will any plague come near your dwelling, for He will give His angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone. This is a great promise for the new leaders and for those praying for their families.
Romans reminds us that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. His purpose is found in many scripture verses including the next two:
Wisdom from Proverbs to further help the presidents and leaders to walk in the ways of God, since surely they need such help. A king who sits on the throne of judgment scatters away all evil with his eyes. Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says Yahweh of Armies. For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. This is an especially important prayer for President Elect ###, VP ###, and for their cabinet picks, for the LORD is the Judge, The LORD is the lawgiver, The LORD is the King. He will save them.
As if that was not enough, the Lord has shown his supporters, for they shall heal the land. When the righteous rule, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people mourn. Having shown these scriptures from the WEB, we will further pray them in your guidance.
Father in Heaven, we come to Your throne of grace with confidence through the name of Jesus Christ your Son. For Yours is the Kingdom and the Glory and the Power, forever. We repent and turn away from our sins and pray that Your kingdom would come more fully, and we would see Your will as covered in our prayer requests, be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask that You would meet our human needs as we lift up our prayer requests to You. Please guide us in our government and the transitions of power, helping us to live godly and peaceable on this earth, just as Your Son showed us Your ways through the Holy Spirit. Bless allzone leaders with wisdom as Christ as they serve, and we ask You bless ### and their family in faith and his job search, in filling their practical and spiritual needs, including the boat and mechanical and employment and all the other needs that were brought up in our prayer.
