We rejoice with you, Sulinanaki, that your son Amire has returned home. Let us continue to pray together for him and your family.
Firstly, we acknowledge the power of prayer in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Amire. Thank You for bringing him home safely. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over him, guarding him from all harm and danger. We pray for self-control over his words, that his speech may be seasoned with salt, gracious, and full of wisdom, as Colossians 4:6 teaches us.
Lord, we ask for a transformation in Amire's life. Help him to respect Sulinanaki, Elizabeth, and all elders who guide him towards righteousness, as commanded in Leviticus 19:32, "You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am Yahweh."
Father, we also claim Your protection over their home and family. May Your angels encamp around them and keep them from all evil, as promised in Psalm 34:7.
Lastly, Lord, we pray that Amire will honor and respect Elizabeth as his mother, obeying the fifth commandment, 'Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.' (Exodus 20:12)
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Sulinanaki, we encourage you to continue instilling biblical principles in Amire's life. Remind him of the importance of honoring his parents and those in authority. As Proverbs 1:8-9 says, "Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and don't reject your mother's teaching, for they will be a garland to grace your head, and pendants around your neck."
We also gently remind you to explicitly mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayers, as it is through Him that we have access to God. As Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
