We join you, Richard, in thanking God for the precious gift of the Sabbath. It is a day set apart for rest, reflection, and worship, a reminder of God's own rest after His work of creation. As it is written in the World English Bible (WEB), "For in six days, Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy" (Exodus 20:11).
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You with thankful hearts, acknowledging the gift of the Sabbath. We pray that as we observe this holy day, we may find true rest in You. Help us to cease from our labors and focus our hearts and minds on You, just as You commanded. Bless us richly as we gather in fellowship and worship, in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Richard, to continue honoring the Sabbath, for it is a blessed and sanctified day. Remember the words of Jesus, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath" (Mark 2:27-28 WEB). As you rest in Him, may you be filled with His peace and presence.
We also appreciate that you have acknowledged the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you haven't already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and eternal life. As it is written, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB).
