Thank You that Jesus is the King of Righteousness

Isaiah 32:16 ：
Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

Commentary on this verse：
32:9-20 When there was so much provocation given to the holy God, bad times might be expected. Alas! how many careless ones there are, who support self-indulgence by shameful stubbornness! We deserve to be deprived of the supports of life, when we make them the food of lusts. Let such tremble and be troubled. Blessed times shall be brought in by the pouring out of the Spirit from on high; then, and not till then, there will be good times. The present state of the Jews shall continue until a more abundant pouring out of the Spirit from on high. Peace and quietness shall be found in the way and work of righteousness. True satisfaction is to be had only in true religion. And real holiness is real happiness now, and shall be perfect happiness, that is, perfect holiness for ever. The good seed of the word shall be sown in all places, and be watered by Divine grace; and laborious, patient labourers shall be sent forth into God's husbandry.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the truths that we can learn from Your dealings with Your people, Israel. Thank You that Jesus is the King of Righteousness, and that the day is coming when You will put all wrongs to right - when You return in power and great glory to set up Your kingdom on earth. May we look up and lift up our head, knowing that the day of our redemption draws nigh. May the peace of Christ guard our hearts, knowing that You have already gained the victory over sin and death for all who believe in the name Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, in Whose name we pray, AMEN.

The verse tells us, "Then justice will dwell in the wilderness; and righteousness will remain in the fruitful field." (WEB)

In the context of Isaiah 32:9-20, we see a contrast between the complacent and the godly. Those who are careless and indulge in sin are living in a spiritual wilderness, devoid of God's blessings. Yet, God promises that even in such desolate states, His justice and righteousness can prevail when we turn to Him.

We are reminded that true satisfaction and happiness come from a right relationship with God—one filled with righteousness and holiness. When we align our lives with God's will, we can experience the peace and quiet confidence that comes from His Spirit (Isaiah 32:17).

Heavenly Father, thank You for the truths we can learn from Your dealings with Your people. Isaiah 32:16-20 paints a vivid picture of a world teetering on the brink, much like our own. The wilderness, a symbol of chaos and disorder, is juxtaposed with the fruitful field, a symbol of peace and abundance. Yet, even in the wilderness, God's justice can dwell, and in the fruitful field, righteousness can remain. This is a powerful reminder that God's goodness and justice are not absent, even in the face of our own carelessness and sin.

Let's pray, shall we? Lord, we thank You for this reminder. In a world that often feels like a wilderness, help us to trust in Your justice. Help us to turn to You, to align our lives with Yours, so that we might experience the peace and quiet confidence that comes from Your Spirit. Help us to be Your hands and feet, working for righteousness in our world, even in the midst of chaos. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before You, reflecting on the words from Isaiah 32:16-17: “Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. The result of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever.” Lord, we pray for the outpouring of Your Spirit, that it may bring about true righteousness in the lives of Your people, leading to peace and security.

Father, we ask that You work in the hearts of those who have become careless or stubborn, who have turned to self-indulgence instead of seeking Your ways. Let Your Spirit convict and guide them back to the path of righteousness, for we know that “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). May Your righteousness dwell richly in their hearts and transform every aspect of their lives.

We also pray for those who are enduring difficult times, struggling in the wilderness seasons of their lives. Just as You promise that righteousness will bring peace, we ask that You bestow upon them Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May this peace not be fleeting but a lasting, quiet confidence that anchors them in Your truth.

Lord, we trust in Your promise that when Your Spirit is poured out from on high, there will be renewal and abundance. We pray for a revival of true faith and holiness in the hearts of all believers, knowing that “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness” (Galatians 5:22-23). Let these fruits flourish in our lives, transforming every wilderness into a fruitful field.

Father, we ask for the strength to be patient and diligent workers in Your fields, sowing the good seed of Your Word and trusting in the watering of Your divine grace. May we find satisfaction not in worldly pleasures but in the peace that comes from walking in Your ways. As it is written, “Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble” (Psalm 119:165).

Thank You, Lord, for the promise that true righteousness brings peace and confidence. We place our trust in Your perfect plan, believing that You will lead us into a future filled with hope, peace, and the joy of Your presence. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
