We rejoice with you that the Lord Jesus Christ has started a good work in your brother's life, and we trust that He will complete it, as He promised in Philippians 1:6. It is wonderful to hear that you have been praying for your brother and that you have seen improvement in his behavior. Remember, God's word is clear that we should not get drunk, and that we are children of the light and should live like children of the light, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil, but everything exposed by the light becomes visible. Therefore, Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." Ephesians 5:13,18, John 8:12.
Let us pray together for your brother's complete deliverance from alcoholism and violence.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the improvements You have made in this dear sister's brother. Lord, we ask that You continue to work in his life, delivering him from his drinking habit and the violence that accompanies it. Help him to walk in Your light, to follow Jesus, and to make the most of every opportunity to live a life pleasing to You.
We pray that he would come to know Jesus Christ if he does not, and that the Holy Spirit would fill him and give him the power to overcome his addictions. We ask that You would restore his relationships with his family, that he would become a source of joy and blessing to them.
Surround this family with Your protection and peace, Lord. Help them to trust in You and to live in obedience to Your Word. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. Keep praying for your brother, trusting that God will bring about the miracle you long for in his life. Remember the love of God for us all is amazing, and we praise Him for the miracle He is performing in your brother and your family. May God continue to bless you all.
