Ezra 7:15 :
And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellers have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,

Commentary on this verse:
Ezra 7:15 (KJV) encapsulates themes of divine providence, obedience, worship, and stewardship. It underscores the spiritual significance of the treasures being transported and the importance of Jerusalem as the dwelling place of God. It serves as a testament to God's faithfulness in fulfilling His promises and the ways in which He can work through secular authorities to advance His kingdom. The verse also symbolizes the dedication and devotion of those offering the treasures and the responsibility of God's people to faithfully steward the resources entrusted to them. Ultimately, it speaks to the overarching theme of God's sovereignty and presence in the lives of His people. The liberality of heathen kings to support the worship of God, reproached the conduct of many kings of Judah, and will rise up in judgment against the covetousness of wealthy professed Christians, who will not promote the cause of God. But the weapons of Christian ministers are not carnal. Faithful preaching, holy lives, fervent prayers, and patient suffering when called to it, are the means to bring men into obedience to Christ.

Prayer for Ezra 7:10 :
“because Ezra had determined in his heart to study the law of the Lord, obey [it], and teach [its] statutes and ordinances in Israel.”

Praying through Ezra 7:10:
Our prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the exemplary life of Ezra and the way that set his heart to know, study, and teach Your Word. Develop in us an increasing desire to study, practice, and share the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ from this day forward, and we pray that we may be used by You to turn the hearts of some who have strayed from the way of salvation, back to Yourself. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

Tang Wei Ping, we rejoice with you in the faithfulness of our Lord God, who is always true to His promises. You mentioned Ezra 7:15, which indeed highlights God's provision and the importance of stewarding His resources. Let us delve into the Scripture and pray together.

Ezra 7:15 (WEB) says, "and to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counselors have freely offered to the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem." This verse underscores divine providence, obedience, worship, and stewardship. It illustrates God's faithfulness and how He can work through secular authorities to advance His kingdom. The liberality of these kings serves as a rebuke to those who do not support the cause of God, reminding us of our responsibility to steward the resources God has entrusted to us.

We must also remember Ezra 7:10 (WEB), "For Ezra had set his heart to seek the law of Yahweh, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel." Ezra's commitment to studying, practicing, and teaching God's Word is a reminder of our responsibility as believers.

Let us pray:

"Heavenly Father, we thank You for the exemplary life of Ezra and his determination to know, study, and teach Your Word. Help us to follow his example and deepen our commitment to Your Scriptures. Develop in us an increasing desire to study, practice, and share the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ. May we be used by You to turn the hearts of those who have strayed from the way of salvation back to Yourself. This we ask in Jesus' name, Amen."

Additionally, we encourage you, Tang Wei Ping, to continue meditating on God's Word. Remember, it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Let this verse guide your prayers and your life, knowing that salvation is found only in Jesus Christ. May God's blessings and peace be with you as you continue to walk in His ways.

I join you in praising God for His faithfulness in fulfilling His promises, as highlighted in Ezra 7:15. It's truly inspiring to see how God works through His people and even through secular authorities to advance His kingdom. The liberality of these kings serves as a reminder of our responsibility to steward the resources God has entrusted to us.

In Ezra 7:10, we see Ezra's commitment to studying, practicing, and teaching God's Word. This should encourage us to follow his example and deepen our own commitment to the Scriptures. Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the exemplary life of Ezra and his dedication to knowing, studying, and teaching Your Word. Help us, like Ezra, to set our hearts to seek Your law and to do it. Increase our desire to study, practice, and share the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ. Use us to turn the hearts of those who have strayed from the way of salvation back to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's also remember that it's through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Let this verse guide our prayers and our lives, knowing that salvation is found only in Jesus Christ.

May God's blessings and peace be with you as you continue to walk in His ways.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in gratitude for the example of Ezra, whose devotion to Your Word is a guiding light for us. Your servant Ezra set his heart to study Your law, obey it, and teach its statutes and ordinances in Israel, as described in Ezra 7:10: “For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.”

Lord, we pray that You instill within us the same passion and commitment to know Your Word, practice it in our lives, and share its truths with those around us. May we be diligent in seeking Your wisdom and courageous in living out Your commands. As Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path,” guide us through the teachings of Scripture so that we may be faithful stewards of Your truth.

Father, we acknowledge Your providence in working through people and circumstances to fulfill Your divine purposes. We are reminded through Ezra 7:15 that even the silver and gold offered by the king and his counselors were given for the glory of the God of Israel. This shows Your sovereignty in influencing both the hearts of kings and the lives of Your people. May we also carry out our responsibilities with faithful stewardship, remembering that everything we have comes from You (James 1:17: “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.”).

We pray that those who hear Your Word through our testimony may turn back to You, just as Ezra’s dedication encouraged faithfulness in Israel. Let Your Holy Spirit work through our words, actions, and prayers to inspire repentance and renewal in the hearts of those who have strayed. As 2 Timothy 2:15 instructs: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

Lord, empower us to uphold lives of integrity, demonstrating Your love and truth through our actions. May we be faithful in prayer, bold in teaching, and patient in any trials we face, knowing that our strength comes from You. Let Your sovereign will be done, and may we glorify Your name in all we do.

In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
