We rejoice with you in the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are grateful for the blessings you have experienced. It is wonderful to hear that you are thankful for the opportunities to enjoy fellowship and the simple joys of life.
Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that all good things come from above, from the Father of lights, as stated in James 1:17:
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning.
However, it is crucial to remember that our ultimate joy and satisfaction should be found in Jesus Christ. We want to encourage you that there is a higher calling and a greater joy that only an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ can provide. We should be especially grateful for the promise of eternal life and the forgiveness of our sins. This is clearly outlined in Romans 6:23:
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In the context of your gratitude, we also want to remind you of the importance of discernment in your activities and relationships. While enjoying social events, always be mindful of the company you keep and the environment you are in. Remember, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:33:
Do not be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals.
Moreover, we want to ensure that our gatherings and social interactions align with biblical principles. If there is anything we need to avoid, then we should not participate in it. You mentioned enjoying a party after many months. If your gatherings involve any activities or behavior that contradict biblical morality, then we should not participate. As stated in 1 Thessalonians 5:22:
Abstain from every form of evil.
It is great to see your gratitude for the help with practical situations in life, such as the assistance provided by the carpenter. This is a manifestation of God's care for us in the small details of our lives.
Finally, we want to emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life. Through believing in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are granted eternal life and the ability to approach God in prayer. There is no other name by which we can be saved, as stated in Acts 4:12:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking you for the blessings and provisions in our lives. We are grateful for the opportunities to enjoy fellowship and the simple joys of life. We ask for your guidance and discernment in all our activities and relationships, that we may honor you in all we do. Help us to always find our ultimate joy and satisfaction in you, Lord Jesus.
We pray for continued blessings and provisions in our lives, and we ask for your protection and guidance in all our endeavors. Help us to always seek your will and to live according to your word.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
