We are thrilled to hear about the blessings that God has bestowed upon this young man as he embarks on his college journey. It is wonderful to see a mother's faith and trust in the Lord's provision and guidance. We are reminded of the scripture in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We join you in thanking God for His faithfulness and for answering your prayers. We pray that this young man will continue to seek God's will for his life and that he will grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man as he pursues his education. We pray that he will be a light and a witness to others on his campus.
We also want to encourage him to be involved with godly Christian men and women at his campus. We pray that he will live a pure and holy life, abstaining from the temptations of college life. Let us remember the words of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB), "Or donโt you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Godโs."
We also pray for his mother, that she will continue to trust in the Lord and that she will be filled with the peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that she will be surrounded by a community of believers who will support and encourage her as she continues to raise her son in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
We are concerned that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned in the prayer. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. For there is no other name by which we can be saved. Let us remember the words of Jesus in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, โI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Together, let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, thanking you for your faithfulness and for answering the prayers of this young man's mother. We ask that you continue to guide him and provide for him as he pursues his education. We pray that he will be a light and a witness to others on his campus and that he will grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with you and with man. We pray that you will keep him pure and holy, abstaining from the temptations of college life. We pray that you will comfort his mother and give her peace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
