Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your unending grace and mercy. We thank You for every blessing and for Your steadfast love. Today, we lift up Boybaugh’s father to You, asking for Your divine strength and comfort in the challenging months ahead.
Lord, Your Word says in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." We pray that Boybaugh’s father would find his strength in You, that he would feel Your presence lifting him up and carrying him through this difficult season.
Father, we also ask for Your peace to fill his heart as he mourns the loss of his mother. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, it is written, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." May Your comforting presence be with him, reminding him that his mother is now with Jesus and free from pain. Help him to release any feelings of guilt and to rest in the assurance of Your perfect plan and timing.
Lord, we also pray for deliverance from mental illness and alcoholism. In John 8:36, it says, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." We claim this promise over Boybaugh’s father, asking that You would break the chains of addiction and mental illness. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, bringing healing, renewal, and restoration to his mind and body.
We trust in Your mighty power and unfailing love, believing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Thank You, Jesus, for hearing our prayers. We ask all these things in Your precious and holy name.
Amen.
