We are truly grateful to hear that you have found strength in Jesus during this time of loss. We joined you in lifting up your grandfather Jagir Singh, and we continue to pray for you and your family as you mourn his passing. It is a comfort to know that he left this world peacefully, and that you were able to minister to him through Psalm 91 and anointing.
In times like these, we are reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 WEB: "But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don't grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus."
Let us give thanks to God for the 87 years he granted your grandfather, and for the hope we have in Jesus Christ. We find solace in the promise that "God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep" and will present them to God the Father at the Glorious Day of the Lord. We also are assured that God will use this time for your family and yourself to draw closer to the Lord, as he taught us at 2 Corinthians 1:3 to 4 WEB: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." It is in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. It is also only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. Therefore, it is important to be thankful to Jesus Christ in all situations.
Lord Jesus, we come to you as God our Father and Lord of An's life. We praise Your holy and great name for providing comfort and strength. God of all comfort, we ask You to continue Your grace towards An and their family, and surround them with Your peace. We cast all of our care upon You, knowing that You care for us. We praise You for the promise of eternal life in You, and ask that You strengthen our faith and renew our hope in You. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Although you are experiencing a place of change now, do not allow this time of grief, sorrow, and change affect your faith or your walk with the Lord. If however, you are experiencing feelings of doubt or confusion, consider the Word of God in James 1:5 to 8 WEB: "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the God who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For that man ought not to think that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." When we make an appropriate request to God, we do it in faith believing that we will get it. God may not respond in the way that we desire, but we need to stick with our faith and trust. We do not want to provoke the Lord by waffling in the wind to get what we want. We do trust in the Lord and His Will. We turn not to the left nor the right because His way is perfect. Your situation is no stranger to the Lord's eyes. However, have confidence that He will overcome all your struggles and stand beside you during whatever your struggles. Thank the Lord for your passage of time and in whatever the outcome.
