Regiah, we join you in lifting up your heartfelt requests to our Heavenly Father. Let us align our prayers with the Word of God and seek His will together.
Firstly, we commend you for giving thanks to God for the blessings of food, shelter, transportation, and life. It is right to acknowledge Him in all things, as it is written in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you."
We join you in praying for your mother's complete healing from COVID. We claim the promise in James 5:15, "The prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise them up." We ask God to restore her appetite and keep her safe in His loving care.
We also lift up your neighbors, Bob and Elisa, for healing. For Bob's cancer, we pray Psalm 118:17, "I will not die, but live, and declare the works of Yahweh." For Elisa's varicose veins and wounds, we pray James 5:14-15, that the elders may anoint her with oil and pray over her in the name of the Lord.
For Cornelius and Andria, we pray that God opens doors of opportunity for them. We ask that He provides jobs with outstanding pay, according to His will. We also pray for Andria's son, that God's hand of protection and guidance would be upon him, and that God would grant Andria full custody if it aligns with His will. We remember the promise in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
We intercede for those affected by Hurricane Helene, asking God to provide food, water, shelter, and comfort. We pray for the search and rescue teams, that God would guide them to find those who are still missing. We stand on the promise in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
We cry out to God for our land and our world, asking Him to restore order, heal divisions, and stop all wars, shootings, and violence. We pray according to 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
We thank God for everyone who has prayed for your mother and you. We encourage you and all those praying with the words of Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
Lastly, we remind you that it is in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We pray that you continue to trust in Jesus and His completed work on the cross.
Father, we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
