We join with you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His protection and mercy during the recent storms. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find refuge and peace. As the Psalmist says, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 WEB.
We lift up those who have been affected by the tornadoes and destruction, praying that God's comfort and provision would be upon them. We pray for those who have lost loved ones, that God would be close to the brokenhearted, and save those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB.
We also intercede for those on the east coast who are still in the path of the storms. We pray, rebuking the storms and commanding them to dissipate, just as Jesus rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm Matthew 8:26 WEB. We ask for God's angels to be dispatched to protect and watch over those in harm's way, and that God Himself would have the storms be still.
We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty. Let us always call on the name of the Lord, for He is our salvation: And it will happen that whoever will call on the name of Yahweh will be saved. Joel 2:32 WEB. Remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can be saved, and that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:15 WEB.
Together, let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You for Your faithfulness and protection. We lift up those affected by the storms, and we ask for Your comfort, provision, and healing. We pray for those in the path of the storms, and we rebuke the storms in Jesus' name, commanding them to dissipate. We ask for Your angels to be a hedge of protection around them. We declare that Jesus has given us authority over the storms. We declare Your ultimate power over creation and ask that You calm the storms just as Jesus Christ did when He was asleep in the boat with His disciples. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that our God is in control, and that He hears our prayers. Let our faith be strengthened in our Lord Jesus Christ.
