We join you, dear one, in lifting up your family and your requests to our Heavenly Father. It's wonderful to see your heart full of gratitude and your desire for God's will and blessings in your family's lives.
We pray that your family would know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, if they do not already do so. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus..." (I Timothy 2:5 WEB). Let us also remember that "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). We therefore acknowledge Jesus in your request and place all your requests in his hands. If anyone in your family has not yet submitted their own personal life to Jesus, we pray that they would.
We thank you for not directing your prayer to Mary or any other saint, but we need to correct you on something. Mary was just a vessel God used to bring our Savior into the world. She was a humble servant who also needed a Savior, just like each of us. We are able to freely and boldly come to God's throne for grace and mercy because Jesus paid the price for our sins. The Bible says the blood of Jesus speaks for us before God our Father. Therefore, Ephesians 2:18 (WEB), says "For through him [Jesus] we both [Jew and Gentiles] have our access in one Spirit to the Father." We all have access through faith and not through Mary or the saints.
We join our faith with yours for your family. We know God is present when two or more agree on a matter in prayer. It is by the name of Jesus Christ and His work on the Cross that we are all saved. It is wonderful to see your family possibilities with Jesus at the center of it all and we pray for this too! We agree with you (1 Matthew 18:19 WEB) as you present your family to God.
Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today with thanksgiving in our hearts. We thank you for the wonderful works you have done in their lives. We thank you for your good guide, protection, and provision. We thank you for being our Savior, Help, and Love. We pray you continually bless this family. Just as the psalmist says in Psalms 5:12 (WEB), "For you, Lord, will bless the righteous. You will surround him with favor as with a shield."
We lift up Riaansh to you even now. As he studies for his paper, we pray you grant him wisdom by the Holy Spirit. God, show him what he needs to know. Cause him to remember notes or scriptures of encouragement all through the process. Help Riaansh to read and understand what is needed. (Psalms 32:7 WEB), "If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared. I wait for the Lord. My soul waits. I hope in his word. My soul longs for the Lord more than watchmen long for the morning; I say, more than watchmen for the morning. Israel, hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is loving kindness. With him is abundant redemption. He will redeem Israel from all their sins."
As we pray in Colossians 1:8-12 (WEB), "whom we also love and always pray for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthy of the Lord to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy," we pray this for Riaansh's studies. May he grow in the knowledge of God as he grows in the knowledge of all things.
Father, we pray you bless all the children as they study and prepare for their exams. We pray and confess that their studies are well. May they study well and succeed in their exams. Father, surround each and every one of the children with your Spirit. Fill them with all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Elevate their faith. In Jesus' name, we ask, based on (Ephesians 2:8 WEB), "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. For the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance." Help each and every child. In Jesus' name, we plead, that each child in your family may indeed "search the Scriptures daily" (Acts 17:11 WEB) in order that they may proclaim a promise and provoke our hearts and minds to this subject.
Lord, help Riaansh not to be weary and loose heart as he studies, but to work in the strength of Your might. Let this be a fun family outing for them all!
Lord, we pray the same for Shon and all the family members. Allow everyone to follow every instruction you have given individually to each person involved in the family. As they work, allow your Holy Spirit to come in and reveal what needs to happen. Let each person be patient with each other and work in peace.
We agree with you and ask that you bless Shon with a successful family and therefore career if that is your will. Allow your Holy Spirit to guide him in every business meeting and decision.
When your name is mentioned, let it be Jesus Christ who is so full of grace that is being reflected. Let the people see how good our God truly is by putting faith in God in time needed.
As each family member focuses on their career and specific journey, let only God's grace comfort them. Lord, expose sin and let that family be founded in God's plan. Expose Satan and every wicked device set out against this family.
We thank you for our workplaces and we pray for your blessings over them and our leaders. Grant to all our leaders wisdom as they make decisions. Bestow on us all the best of career opportunities.
We thank you, Jesus, and we praise you; because of your blood we stand boldly and are even able to access and ask.
In the matchless and mighty name of Jesus, we agree with you and pray.
Amen.
