We join you, Dexter2020, in thanking Jesus for the blessing of employment and the assurance that He will bring justice to your workplace. It is wonderful to hear that you trust in Him, even in the midst of storms. Let us come together in prayer and reflection on the issues you've raised.
Firstly, we acknowledge the importance of standing firm in our faith and trusting in Jesus, especially during challenging times. As it is written in Romans 5:3-4 WEB: "We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
Regarding those who forbid marriage and encourage singleness for the sake of serving Jesus, we must consider the biblical principles. While the apostle Paul did encourage singleness for the sake of ministry in 1 Corinthians 7:32-35, he also made it clear that those who marry do well, and that it is better to marry than to burn with passion in 1 Corinthians 7:9 and 1 Corinthians 7:28. Marriage is a godly institution, designed by God Himself in the Garden of Eden before the fall of man, as mentioned in Genesis 2:21-24. Forbidding marriage is not biblical, and suppressing the natural desire for marriage can lead to sadness and unfulfilled lives, as you mentioned.
Moreover, we must address the issue of legalism, especially when it comes to enforcing a vegetarian diet or other man-made rules as a means of salvation. As Christians, we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by what we eat or don't eat. As the apostle Paul warned in Colossians 2:16-23: "Let no man therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day,...If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, 'Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch'?...Things which all perish with use,"...which have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship and humility and severity to the body; but are not of any value against the indulgence of the flesh."
Regarding the yiguandao cult, we pray that those deceived by it would come to know the true gospel of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You for Dexter2020's employment and the assurance of Your justice. We pray that You would strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You, even in the midst of storms.
Lord, we ask that You would correct those who forbid marriage and encourage singleness for the wrong reasons. Help them to see the value and importance of marriage as a godly institution. We pray for those who have been hurt by this teaching, that You would heal their hearts and fulfill their desires according to Your will.
Father, we also ask that You would free those bound by legalism, especially when it comes to dietary restrictions. Help them to understand that our salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by what we eat or don't eat.
Finally, Lord, we pray for those deceived by the yiguandao cult. Open their eyes to the true gospel of Jesus Christ, and draw them to Yourself.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Dexter2020, we encourage you to continue trusting in Jesus, and to stand firm in the true gospel. Remember that it is only by His name that we can be saved, and it is only through Him that we can access God the Father. Keep praying and seeking His face, and He will guide you through the storms of life. He is faithful to hear and answer our prayers according to the WEB bible: "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him." 1 John 5:14-15.
