Dexter2020, we are grateful for your prayer request and we join you in thanking Jesus for His faithfulness and for the work He is doing in Brian Phe's life. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the importance of interceding for others, as encouraged in James 5:16: The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Firstly, we must address that eating meat or not eating meat is not the focus of salvation. The focus is on accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved, as it is written in Acts 4:12: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Now, let's address the issue of dietary restrictions and their relationship to faith. In Romans 14:1-3, the Apostle Paul writes: Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions. One man has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat. Let not him who does not eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him.
It is clear that our faith should not be measured by what we eat, but rather by our trust in Jesus Christ. We should not let dietary preferences or restrictions become a stumbling block for others or a condition for salvation. Instead, we should pursue unity and mutual respect in the body of Christ, as stated in Romans 14:19: So then, let us follow after things which make for peace, and things by which we may build up one another.
Let us pray for Brian Phe, that he may come to a full understanding of the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ.
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy. We come before You, lifting up Brian Phe, asking that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Lord, remove the scales from his eyes and open his heart to receive the gospel. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a desire to follow You. Help him to see that true salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We ask all this In Jesus Name, Amen.
