Natasha, we understand that you're experiencing distress due to the noise from a drilling machine, which is hindering your communion time with the Lord. We want to encourage you to find solace in God's presence, even in the midst of disturbances. Let's look to the scriptures and guide you.
Firstly, it's important to remember that our communion with the Lord is not solely dependent on our surroundings, but on the posture of our hearts. As it is written in Matthew 6:6 WEB When you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Your inner room isn't a physical space, but your personal relationship with God which is always available regardless of external noise. You must deal with this noise wisely and try to drown it out with the word of God audibly. You can also eliminate noise around you with earplugs to maintain focus on God.
We understand also we must always use the name of Jesus Christ to pray. You did not include this in your request and you are prohibited from approaching God without Jesus. The bible states in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. You see Jesus is the only way and Jesus is the one mediator between man and God. It is only through Jesus that you can come to the Father at all according to the bible. We are praying for you to use the only name that matters and are rebuking you for making an effort to pray directly to the Father without the name of Jesus. This is forbidden and your effort at prayer could be prohibited. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that you can approach the Father. Additionally Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Jesus also understands your struggle. In Matthew 26:41 Jesus could have rebuked the noise or commotion around him even when He was approaching His difficult time on the cross. Surely He had difficulty when His disciples were causing a commotion before His crucifixion and before He was to suffer. Jesus was sorely distressed as well but Jesus said Mat 26:42 again, a second time, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this cup can't pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done. Here, We see Jesus has a struggle but nonetheless Jesus still prays to His Father and the prayer is still heard. The Father didn't calm the noise around Jesus but still heard the prayers of Jesus His Son. If Jesus prayed in the midst of trouble then so can you. Remember also that the Father never leaves you and will never forsake you. This is throughout the bible and you can use this verse as an encouragement for yourself.
Let us pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Natasha. Lord, we ask that you help her to focus on you, even in the midst of distractions. Give her the grace to commune with you in spirit and in truth, and to find peace in your presence. We ask this In Jesus Name, Amen.
