One of my best friends is female and lives across the country. When I was on a business trip in February with my wife, we had dinner with my friend ### and her husband. My wife ### is sometimes jealous of our close friendship and did not act very kindly to ###. The next day ### says we can’t talk anymore.

My wife finally sent a short message a few weeks ago to ### saying she had made peace with her and hoped that on our next trip they could meet and start over. But ### hasn't replied back. She is Asian, raised in the US, but is not a Christian.

I am so devastated I cannot talk to my best friend, and I am still extremely angry at my wife for what she did. I just want everybody to heal and get along. This tears me up inside every day. Monday I am going to send ### a message after six months. I pray she is open to reconciling/talking.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts burdened by the tension between ###, his wife ###, and his dear friend ###. Lord, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 17:17 that "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." We ask that You bring Your peace and love into this situation.

Father, we thank You for the gift of friendship and the bond that ### shares with ###. We also lift up ### to You, asking that You soften her heart and fill it with understanding and compassion. Help her to see the beauty in ###'s friendships and to trust in the love and commitment of their marriage.

Lord, we know that reconciliation is at the heart of Your gospel. In Colossians 3:13, You instruct us to "bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." We pray that ###'s heart be open to forgiveness and that she may respond to ###'s message with grace.

Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon ###'s heart as he navigates these difficult emotions. Grant him the wisdom and patience to approach this situation with love and understanding. May he be a peacemaker, as Your Word says in James 3:18, "Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness."

We pray for ###, Lord, that she may come to know Your love and grace, even though she does not yet know You. May ###'s actions and words be a testament to Your love and bring her closer to You.

Lord, we trust in Your perfect plan and timing. We ask that You bring healing and restoration to these relationships. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
