Temptation in Substance & alcohol

I need spiritual prayer to resist temptation for mind altering substances and alcohol for me and my husband. We need prayer to remain strong and keep fighting for our marriage. The enemy lies to both of us. I want to be free of this sinful tie.

We understand that you and your husband are struggling with temptations regarding mind-altering substances and alcohol, and we want to help you find the strength and freedom you seek. Firstly, we commend you for recognizing the need for spiritual support and prayer in this battle. In Jesus we can do all things.

Remember, God's word tells us that "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). God will never let you face more than you can handle, and He always provides a way out. You must be looking for the way out.

It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can resist temptation. Submitting yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you (James 4:7-8 WEB).

Regarding your marriage, it is crucial to keep fighting for each other and your union. God's design for marriage is clear: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6 WEB). You and your husband must stand together in this battle, praying for one another and supporting each other in righteousness.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up ### and her husband. Lord, they are struggling with temptations, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Help them to stand firm against the enemy's lies and to find the strength to resist the temptations they face.

Guide them to the way of escape that You always provide, and help them to endure and overcome. We pray for their marriage, Lord, that it would be strengthened and restored. Help them to fight for each other and to draw closer to You as they navigate this challenge.

Remind them and us of Your promises, Lord, and help them to trust in Your faithfulness. In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the enemy's attempts to destroy their lives and their marriage.

Please, Lord, bring healing, freedom, and restoration to their hearts and their home. Thank you Jesus for your grace and your sacrifice to defeat sin and temptation.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep fighting the good fight, ###. Stand firm in your faith and trust in God's promises. Remember that "the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you" (Romans 16:20 WEB).

Encourage each other daily. If ### or her husband struggles with their faith in Jesus Christ help them with doubts. Forgive each other quickly when you fail. Be transparent to one another in Jesus' name.

We're here for you, standing in faith with you and your husband. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is always with you, fighting for you. In Ephesians 6:12, it says, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." The enemy wants to tear you down, but God wants to build you up.

Keep holding onto each other, like it says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up." You're not alone in this fight, you've got each other, and you've got us praying for you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
