I need help praying for my step son who is going through a tough time right now and has already told a friend he plans on killing himself before year end. Pray that he accepts the help that is being offered to him and that he is able to overcome these thoughts. Pray that his mother and father can keep an open mind to his feelings and needs. We are deeply concerned and grieved to hear about the struggles your stepson is facing. Suicide is never the solution, and we are called to bear one another's burdens in times of distress. Let us come together in prayer and align our hearts with God's will for this young man's life.

Firstly, let us remember the promise in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says Yahweh, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.’" God has a purpose and a future for your stepson, and we will pray that he understands and embraces this truth.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this young man to You. Lord, he is hurting and feels helpless, but we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). We ask that You comfort him, give him hope, and surround him with Your love. Help him to accept the assistance being offered and guide the professionals who are working with him.

Lord, we also pray for his mother and father. Help them to be patient, understanding, and open to his feelings and needs. Give them the strength and wisdom to support him in the way that he needs. Remind them of Your faithfulness and the promise in Isaiah 41:10 (WEB), "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."

Finally, we pray that this family draws closer to Jesus Christ during this trying time. May they find peace, comfort, and hope in Him, for He is the only way to salvation (John 14:6, WEB). If they have not already done so, we pray that each member of this family accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior and experiences the transforming power of His love.

We will continue to pray for your stepson and his parents, trusting that God will bring healing, restoration, and hope to their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you to all. He is getting help, finally opened up to a professional, it will be a long road ahead. Still praying but happy to know today he is in better spirits.

On a side note, kids need to detox from cell phones. When they took his away, he almost had a panic attack and felt lost without it the first few hours.
