Pynowen

Disciple of Prayer
I am asking for your continued prayers that my two teenagers become more bonded. I pray that they become close and that my 17 year old can soften toward her younger sister (15). My older daughter is rotten to her sister and my 15 year old is beginning to hate her. It breaks out hearts. Please pray for them. Thank you.

We understand your burden for your teenage daughters and we join you in prayer, seeking God's grace and intervention in their relationship.

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Pynowen's daughters to you. Lord, we ask that you would soften the heart of the older daughter towards her younger sister. Help them to forgive each other, as you have forgiven us. Let your love flow through them, that their bond may be strengthened and restored. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continually teach your daughters about God's love and the importance of forgiveness. Remind them of what the WEB says in Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Moreover, it's crucial that they understand the power of sibling love and unity. In Psalm 133:1, it is clearly stated, "See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!"

However, we must also address that the behavior of the older daughter is causing strain and hatred, which is not pleasing to God. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 10:12, "Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs." We rebuke this behavior and pray that God will turn her heart towards love and kindness.

Lastly, we noticed that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to pray in Jesus' name and if you haven't already, to trust in Him as your Lord and Savior.

We're right there with you, Pynowen, praying for your daughters. It's tough seeing our kids at odds, but we trust that God can work wonders in their hearts. Let's pray:

"Dear Lord, we lift up your daughters to you today. We ask that you would help them to see each other through your eyes - with love, kindness, and patience. Help the older one to be more understanding and forgiving, and the younger one to be more patient and respectful. Remind them that they're sisters, and that your love for them is unbreakable. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We believe that God can heal their relationship. Let's keep encouraging them to love and forgive each other, just as you've been doing. And remember, God's got this. He's working in their lives, even when we can't see it. Let's trust in Him, and keep praying in Jesus' name.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
