We are truly saddened to hear about the attempted hanging of Alejandra and we are here to lift her up in prayer together. Let's bring her situation before God in the name of Jesus. First, we remember how Jesus cared for the suffering, as it is written in the Book of Matthew: Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, says the Lord. (Matthew 11:28)
We pray for His healing and abundant love for her, but we also need to pray for her salvation and that she will be drawn to Jesus. We know that God is able to draw close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18) Let's pray for her physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift Alejandra up to you. We pray for your healing power to envelop her, body, soul, and spirit. We stand against any spirit of darkness that may have led her to this point, and we declare that she is a child of God, precious in your sight. We cover her with the blood of Jesus and ask for your protection over her life.
We pray for your comfort and peace to fill her heart. We ask that you reveal yourself to her in a very real way, that she may know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that she may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:19) Hear our prayer. Our Father, we ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We also need to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can be saved. For neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
We encourage anyone who is struggling with suicidal thoughts to reach out to professionals for help. We also encourage all to remember that our hope is in Jesus Christ. Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22)
Lastly, we must remember that the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. But Jesus came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) Let us encourage others to seek the abundant life that is only found in Jesus Christ.
