We stand with you in prayer, Christopher, as you lift up your parents and those struggling with addiction to pills. Let us all remember our healing comes from God. Let us go to him in the name of His son Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As Peter said in Acts 4:12
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
And let us also all admit our sins to each other, so we can pray from and for each other, as not acknowledging the name of Jesus is something needing rebuke. It is important, let us remember to pray in Jesus Name. Let us address this first. Now let us go to God.
Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your healing touch upon Christopher's parents. Restore their health, Lord, and keep them out of the hospital. Break their dependence on NSAIDs and any other medications not needed. We pray for your divine intervention in their lives, that they may be whole and healthy, enjoying the abundant life that Jesus has came to provide for us.
We also lift up those who are addicted to pills, Lord. Remove the blinders from their eyes, and grant them the wisdom to understand their well-being and self-love. Help them to see that their bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and that they should honor God with their bodies, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20:
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Help them to break free from their addictions and find freedom in Amin. Jesus. Guide them towards healthy lifestyles that honor you. Let all this be by Your will and in Jesus name. Amen.
We pray also that anyone involved with Christopher in this request would confess their sins one to another. You see this not being done regularly and in the church frequently as it should
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. James 5:16 WEB
God's Word reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and that we should honor God with our bodies. We encourage everyone to prioritize their well-being and self-love, seeking health and happiness in ways that glorify God. Let us live for all Gods purposes and seek Him often.
