Take the evil away and mend our hearts

I feel lost. Everything something good happens for me, it seems like evil wants to strike. I recently found a friend that helped me through some really tough struggles. I gave him the wrong impression that I wanted a full relationship with him. I don't think I'm ready for that and neither is he. He is struggling with a bad divorce right now and a lot of loved ones and friends have betrayed him. So last Wednesday one of the evils showed up at my work. He is a regular customer and I had no idea he had evil intentions. He stated he worked on the solar fields and I stated I have a friend that worked on them. He knew who I was talking about and I made the comment that ### p had helped me through a lot of difficult times over the last couple of months and would do anything for anybody he has a heart of gold. Only personal thing that was said. I joked around with ### (evil) and said goodbye. He then went to his vehicle and called ### and told him that I was in love with him and said we were in a full blown relationship. None of that was true. Because of all the betrayal in ###'s life he has assumed this is true and I did not care about his needs for the divorce and has not spoke to me since. I did tell him that ### was lying and have gave him time. My heart is broke. I need prayers that ### can let go of the evil in his life and will trust me again. I felt a connection like no other with him and that's why I never pushed him on everything. The day before he went from Maryland back to North Carolina he told me I was his angel and unicorn. I have not changed. ### manipulated him and I feel horrible about it. Please help!

We understand that you're feeling lost and heartbroken, ###, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.

Firstly, let him remind you to whom you should pray. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 WEB

Firstly, know God's will for your life as His follower:
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB
For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Don't quickly rush into an intimate relationship, but understand God's will for your life.
And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.

There are a number of areas that you need to be praying for and examining when you speak of ###.

You believe you gave him the wrong impression that you wanted a full relationship. You said you are not ready and neither is he.

He is in a divorce but no mention of a Biblical doctrine of divorce being met. If it is not for adultery or possibly his spouse has left him and is not willing to live with him this divorce should come to an end and he should be encouraged to oppose it.

Next while he is in this divorce episode you have already confessed your possible romantic feelings for him. He has already told you he sees you as an angel and a unicorn. Angels of God in the Bible are not described as having any romantic feelings. Unicorns go deep into myth and fantasy. While this sounds wonderful you need to examine your own motives. You need to see if you are confusing the strong emotional pain he has of a divorce for a need for help.

We are still in a position of receiving the Bible's definition of adultery. Technically they are one until a divorce has happened and living with another man may be an act that may not be Biblically appropriate at this time. In Matthew 5:32 WEB But I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is divorced commits adultery.

Also observe Deuteronomy 24:1-4 WEB
When a man takes a wife and marries her, then it shall be, if she finds no favor in his eyes, because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a bill of divorce, put it in her hand, and send her out of his house. When she has departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife. If the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorce, put it in her hand, and send her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, who took her to be his wife; her former husband who sent her away may not take her again to be his wife after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before Yahweh: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance.

You should pray for ### about the spirit of betrayal. The situation in which he sees you as an angel and a unicorn may be a symptom of the betrayal. This does not mean you are an angel or unicorn spirit but that you see their hearts fantasized through a cracked heart and pieces are laying all around.

He should also be prayed for about how quickly he can give up. He remains in unbelief that you committed a betrayal towards him which you deny.

As a relationship prayer that started as needing help from a non-Christian he may be the main need for 'the evil' to be removed.
1 Corinthians 6:14 - Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?

We are not specifically told he is a Christian. For the husband who doesn't believe 1 Corinthians 7:14 WEB
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.
Even if the non-Christian testifies for Jesus Christ they are not sanctified in Christ. Consider this carefully before considering marriage.

You must pray for his truthfulness and check whether he gave an accurate situation of his divorce. Deuteronomy 19:18 tells us The judges shall make diligent inquisition; and, behold, if it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel, then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, who hath done this evil thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, and they shall die.

Please remember to continually pray for God's will in this situation and note the relationship in the Bible whether from a father to a son or daughter or Christian brothers and sisters whose Father is God has the pattern of training, teaching, nurturing, and respecting each other.

Father, in Jesus' name. We come to You with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and ###. We pray for the evil to be removed from ###'s life and for his heart to be mended and restored.

Father, restore the trust between ### and ###. Guide them both through this difficult time, and help them to seek You first in all their decisions. Surround ### with Your peace and comfort.

God if ### is not saved and has not believed in Jesus Christ please convict him that you love him and sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for him and he can have eternal life if he believes in his heart and confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord.

Lord, we pray for Your will to be done in ###'s life and ###'s life.

Father please convict us of things we need to repent from in Jesus name. We believe our prayer will be a sweet-smelling savor when we pray by the name of Jesus and we thank him for his sacrifice that brought us to you. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts on behalf of this child of Yours who feels lost and heartbroken. They have shown love, care, and kindness to someone they deeply cherish, only to see that bond tested by misunderstanding and manipulation. Lord, we ask for Your intervention in this situation, knowing that You are the God of truth, healing, and restoration.

Lord, Your Word says, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). Draw near to this person now. Comfort them in their distress and remind them that You are with them, even in the midst of confusion and pain. Let Your presence fill them with peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray for ###. You know his heart and the wounds he carries from betrayal and hardship. We ask that You heal him, Lord, and surround him with Your love. Remove any seeds of doubt, bitterness, or mistrust planted by others. Your Word declares, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask You to protect ### from the schemes of evil. Break the power of deception over his life and restore his ability to trust and discern the truth.

Lord, bring clarity and wisdom to both hearts involved in this relationship. Where there has been confusion and misunderstanding, we ask for light and reconciliation. Your Word says, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32). Help ### to see the truth of this person’s intentions and to let go of any misunderstandings or hurt.

Father, we also pray for the one who caused harm, knowingly or unknowingly. Soften ###’s heart and bring conviction where needed. Transform his actions to reflect goodness and truth, for Your Word reminds us, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21).

Finally, Lord, we ask for renewed strength and faith for this child of Yours. Remind them of Your promises, that “those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31). Help them to rest in Your timing and trust Your plans, for You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).

In Jesus’ name, we pray for healing, trust, and the restoration of a bond that reflects Your love and grace. Let Your will be done in their lives, and may Your peace reign in their hearts.
