Take Dominion!

In my younger days (today I'm 59 yrs old) I would celebrate my birthday along with Dominion Day in Canada. Canada's National Holiday has changed name since then and it's now simply called Canada Day. I am one of a few who can claim to be a Dominion child.
Late in my life I came to see July 1st as a reminder of my obligations as a Christian. After all, it was still Dominion Day to me. I have recently been taken a self audit of my inner-being [every July 1] to see if anything can be hindering my spiritual growth. You can't have dominion in life if you don't have dominion of yourself through Jesus. Today I celebrated Dominion Day! It's a cross between a new year resolution and thanks giving.
The word dominion is defined as “to rule or power over.” God has sovereign power over His creation and has delegated the authority to mankind to have dominion over all, not just the animals.
Genesis 1:26
David goes further and says: “You made mankind rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet”. Psalm 8:6
We were to "subdue" the earth Genesis 1:28
This means that we have a position of responsibility and command over all.

1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

Take a look at the words Royal Priesthood. What does this mean? In short it means...

• Believers are called to be both a king and a priest, just as Jesus is both the King of kings and our forever High Priest.
  Hebrews 4:14-16
• God said He would rebuild the tabernacle of David. Acts 15:16
• where you are both a king and priest in the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 7:15-16
• We are a royal priesthood, which means we have direct access into the garden and we have direct fellowship with God, like a priest. We are commissioned to expand the Kingdom of God throughout the world like a king.
• You can't have dominion if you don't have dominion of your physical, mental, and spiritual side. We are to bare fruits of the spirit and not fruits of the flesh.

Christians are placed in a superior role and are to exercise due diligence over the earth. We are His rulers and we are to lead by example.

Do you have dominion over self? We can always improve on our holy dominion.
It's to take our dominion through Jesus.

Amazing! Holy spirit is working simultaneously!! Couple hours ago i send a message to one sister and i was talking about ) royal priesthood - kingd and priests b) and cepter, rod and the authority in our hand - THE NAME OF JESUS That we are privileged and that we are princes and princesses because we are daughters and sons of the King of Kings. That we are ambassadors of Christ, representatives in this world of a foreign country, THE KINGDOM OF GOD and we have (besides responsibilities) special privileges and protection from our governement, and it is all legal, our cars even have special licence plates amen!! Thank you Jesus!

Lovely thought for today. To have dominion over our own spirit through the presence of Jesus who want the best in our life. We are a Royal Priesthood chosen from the begining of the the earth to be a blessing to those who walk in darkness and need to come to the shining light of the Lord. We have power over our mind, do not let the devil in your thought, let Jesus have dominion in every single aspect of your life.

Jesus, I thank you that you have both the power and authority to heal my body. I boldly come to you today to ask for your grace and healing power to be at work in my body. I trust that you are powerful and looking for an opportunity to show your power in my body.

Cause this sickness to leave my body in Jesus’ name. I break the power of stress and trauma and release your peace. I speak to every part of my body and say, “Be whole in Jesus’ name.” Function properly—the way God designed you to function.

Jesus, send your word and heal me today. You paid the price for my healing, so I trust that you are at work in me. Holy Spirit, fill every part of me with your supernatural presence. Drive out all that is not good, holy, and true. I receive the healing you have for me today, in Jesus’ name, amen.
