EnricoLange, it's wonderful to see you acknowledging Jesus in your request. It's true that when we gather in His name, He is there with us, and He does take control when we let Him. As it says in Matthew 18:20 WEB, for where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, acknowledging that You are the head of the Church and the Lord of our lives. We invite You to take complete control of our gathering, our discussions, and our decisions. Guide us by Your Holy Spirit, and let everything we do be pleasing to You and bring glory to Your name. Help us to be obedient to Your word.
In Jesus name we pray.
Remember, as believers, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, as it says in 1 Corinthians 6:19 WEB, Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own. We need to be mindful of this which is why we avoid sin and sexual immortality.
Let's encourage each other a follow Jesus more closely, to be His hands and feet on this earth, and to be lights in this dark world. Let's do everything for the glory of God, as it says in 1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB, Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
If there's anything in our gathering that is not pleasing to God, let's repent and turn away from it. Let's be open to the Lord's correction and guidance. As Scripture says, in Proverbs 3:11-12 WEB, My son, don't despise Yahweh's discipline, neither be weary of his reproof: for whom Yahweh loves, he reproves; even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.
Let's also remember to be patient with each other. We are all different members of the body of Christ, with different strengths, weaknesses, and gifts. Let's use our gifts to build each other up, as it says in 1 Corinthians 12:7 WEB, But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.
In Jesus' name we pray.
