We understand that you're feeling abandoned and in the depths of depression, but we want to remind you that God is always with you, and He will never forsake you. As it says in Hebrews 13:5 WEB, "...Be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you, nor forsake you.'"
Firstly, we want to commend you for ending your prayer in the name of Jesus. This is so important because as it says in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only through belief in Jesus and turning from our sins that we can be saved. Jesus said in John 3:16 WEB that God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
You mentioned feeling forsaken and needing to feel God's love. God's love is not earned or deserved. It is freely given to us because God is love. He continues to love us even when we are hurting or in sin. 1 John 4:8 WEB says "He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." This love is never ceasing nor changing. In Romans 8:38-39 WEB it says that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.
You asked God to take away your heart of stone. This is a reference to Ezekiel 36:26 WEB, where God promises to give us a new heart and put a new spirit within us, removing our heart of stone and giving us a heart of flesh. We pray that God will do this work in you, that He will renew your heart and fill you with His Spirit.
You also mentioned needing God to shine the light of His love. God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. As it says in 1 John 1:5 WEB, "This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." We pray that God will shine His light into your life, that you will know His love and be filled with His Spirit.
We also want to address your feelings of depression. It's important to remember that God is always with you, even in the darkest times. As it says in Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We pray that God will lift you up from the depths of depression and give you His peace and joy.
Finally, you asked God to blot out your iniquities. This is a reference to Psalm 51:9 WEB, where David asks God to hide His face from his sins and blot out all of his iniquities. We pray that God will forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Remember that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness as it says in 1 John 1:9 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Cyrierdell to You. We thank You that You are always with us, and that You will never leave us nor forsake us. We pray that You will shine the light of Your love into their life, that You will renew their heart and fill them with Your Spirit. We pray that You will lift them up from the depths of depression and give them Your peace and joy. We pray that You will forgive their sins and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
