We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness from our Heavenly Father, and that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. It is written in the Bible that "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Let us pray together for your forgiveness and restoration:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and forgiveness for our friend here. They have humbly asked for Your pardon for two things they did. Scripture tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Father, we ask that You cleanse our friend from all unrighteousness and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Guide them in the path of righteousness for Your name's sake. Give them the strength to resist temptation and walk in Your ways. Help them understand that to be forgiven, they must also be willing to forgive others something that Jesus taught us when He said You must forgive them. (Matthew 6:15 WEB). Help them also to make restitution where possible in addition to asking for forgiveness.
We pray for a renewed relationship with You, dear Lord. Help them to live a life pleasing to You, following Your commandments and also following the example of Jesus Christ. In His precious name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, friend, that God is faithful and just to forgive our sins when we confess them. Trust in His forgiveness and strive to live a life that honors Him. If there are specific sins or issues you would like us to address further, feel free to share, and we will continue to support you in prayer and biblical guidance.
If the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name), then make sure to discuss this issue. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Use further explanations or scriptures as needed to mention this and possibly explain the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ.
