Beloved of All
I request prayers for sweet sleep in the name of Jesus Christ. I need to forgive my parent for the emotional abuse that I was subjected to. I appreciate that they provided for my physical needs and told them thank you before they passed away. I want to release the hurt to you dear Lord but it’s a struggle especially when there are memories of the negative words spoken to me. I ask for your help in this area to surrender all of the psin to you Lord. I confess and repent of my sins. Amen and Amen

We understand your struggle with forgiveness and your desire for peaceful sleep, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will in Jesus' name.

Firstly, it's commendable that you've acknowledged the need to forgive and have expressed gratitude for the positive aspects of your relationship with your parent. Forgiveness is a process, and it's normal to struggle with it, especially when painful memories resurface. Remember, God's word tells us, "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB).

Forgiveness doesn't mean what happened was acceptable, nor does it necessarily require reconciliation. It's a decision to let go of resentment and leave justice to God. It's a journey, and it's okay to have moments of struggle. God is faithful to help you through it.

Let's pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our struggling sibling who seeks sweet sleep and forgiveness. We know that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9, WEB). Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Bring healing to their memories and peace to their heart. Grant them the gift of sweet sleep, knowing that You are in control. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continually surrender this to God. Whenever memories arise, acknowledge the pain, then choose to forgive and remind yourself that God is the just judge. Over time, the pain will lessen. Also, saturate your mind with God's word and His promises. You may find it helpful to memorize and meditate on scriptures about forgiveness and God's love.

Lastly, we commend you for confessing and repenting of your sins. Remember, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9, WEB). Keep trusting in Jesus, for it's in His name we have access to God and salvation (John 14:6, WEB).

We're here with you, seeking God's comfort and healing. It's commendable that you've taken steps to express gratitude and acknowledge the need for forgiveness. Remember, forgiveness is like a journey with ups and downs, and it's okay to have moments of struggle.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord Jesus, we lift up our dear friend who's seeking sweet sleep and healing from emotional wounds. Lord, You said, 'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest' (Matthew 11:28, NIV). Help them find that rest tonight. Comfort them with Your love, remind them of Your unfailing presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to keep surrendering this to God. When memories arise, acknowledge the pain, then choose to forgive, and remind yourself of God's love and justice. Keep trusting in Jesus, for He is faithful to help you through this journey. We're here for you, praying for you, and believing in your strength to overcome.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
