Hapgarth, we join you in prayer as you await the decision from the Department of Veterans Affairs regarding your surviving spouse support. We are reminded of Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We pray, Heavenly Father, as Hapgarth waits for this important decision, comfort and keep her in Your perfect peace. Be with her as she has been patiently and persistently pursuing this matter. We ask that Your will be done and that Your favor rest upon her. We claim the promise in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Hapgarth, we also want to remind you to put your ultimate trust in Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we have access to God, and it is through Him that we receive our strength and hope. As it says in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Finally, we encourage you to keep your siblings informed and ask them to join in prayer, as you have mentioned. The power of united prayer is great, as Jesus teaches us in Matthew 18:20 (WEB), "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."
We stand with you in Jesus' name, awaiting God's will in this matter. Amen.
