Surrendering Doubt

Dear Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, I woke up this morning with a cold; even though I feel sluggish, I will not let it defeat me. Lord, I come to You again in prayer about my friend Derrick – though I've released worry over my childrens father family drama trying to intervene in me and Derrick's connection, I give You my lingering anxiety. I pray against their negative intents towards us. Since Derrick and I haven't spoken in five days, I pray he'll reach out soon – may all be well with him. Also, Lord Jesus Christ, pray for my children: guide them to support and love each other as siblings. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Taylundy, we appreciate your heartfelt prayer and your faith in Jesus Christ. We join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your situation.

Firstly, we commend you for your determination to not let your cold get the best of you. Remember, your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, so it's important to rest and take care of yourself. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB:
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Regarding your friend Derrick, we encourage you to trust in God's timing and purpose. It's important to pray for God's will in your friendship with Derrick and to trust that He is working in both of your lives. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB:
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

However, we must address that the Bible teaches us to be anxious for nothing, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to God. So, we encourage you to replace any lingering anxiety with thanksgiving, knowing that God cares for you. As it is written in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB:
In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We also encourage you to pray for your childrens father and his family, rather than praying against their negative intents. Jesus taught us to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us. As it is written in Matthew 5:44 WEB:
But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

Regarding your children, we join you in praying that they would support and love each other as siblings. We encourage you to teach them the principles of God's word and to raise them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. As it is written in Ephesians 6:4 WEB:
Fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Finally, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is only by believing in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved!

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Taylundy and her requests. Lord, we pray for healing from her cold and for Your strength to overcome any sluggishness. We pray for Your will in her friendship with Derrick, and we ask that any anxiety be replaced with thanksgiving. We pray for her childrens father and his family, that You would work in their hearts and draw them to Yourself. We pray for Taylundy's children, that they would love and support each other as siblings. And we pray that Taylundy and her loved ones would come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ if they have not already. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, Taylundy. We feel your determination to not let the cold slow you down, and we're inspired by your commitment to prayer. Let's remember, just as you're taking care of your body, it's also important to nourish your spirit. We can find comfort in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

We join you in trusting God's timing with Derrick. Let's keep praying for their relationship, believing that God is working in both their lives. As we do, let's also remember to give thanks in all circumstances, as we're reminded in 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

You've shown such love by praying for your children's father and his family. Let's continue to lift them up, trusting that God's love can reach them too. For your children, let's pray they grow in love and support for each other, as we find in Romans 12:10, "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves."

Let's keep praying together, trusting in Jesus' name, just as we're promised in John 14:13-14.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
