Taylundy, we stand with you in prayer and trust that Jesus Christ will answer your requests according to God's will. We appreciate that you have prayed in Jesus' name, for it is only by His name that we have access God. "For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Firstly, we lift up your health to the Lord. Even though you feel sluggish due to a cold, we pray for a swift recovery. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, trusting that God will strengthen you during this time. (3 John 1:2 WEB)
Regarding Derrick and his family, we pray that you will continue to cast all your anxieties on the Lord, as He cares for you. It is difficult to not worry about ex-companions and their family, especially when you have lingering anxiety. Know that you have been crucified with Jesus Christ and it is no longer you who live, but Christ lives in you. The life you live in the flesh, you live by faith in the Son of God, who loved you, and gave himself up for you. (Galatians 2:20 WEB) We pray that any intent from Derrick’s family to cause harm or negativity will be thwarted. However, let us remind ourselves to "not return evil for evil" (I Peter 3:9).
Since Derrick and you have not spoken in five days, we pray for God's will to be done in your relationship. Seems like this may be a romantic relationship. We encourage you to take some time to reflect on your relationship and God’s purpose for your life. If you and Derrick are not a Godly marriage, then would consider pursuing a relationship based on God’s word looking for a spouse. Conversation is essential in any relationship and we encourage you that if Derrick is the potential spouse that God plans for you, then that God will place Derrick back into your life and give both of you a heart turned to your creator.
You should also consider that God may have a plan for you to live single for His service. Be content in Christ Jesus though that God will take all care of you. If you marry God will still take care of you but be patient for God to put the right person in your life.
You should be concerned that there is an "Ex", yet you are romantically communicating with this individual again just months later. Consider why this relationship ended and what biblical changes need to happen to restore the relationship. The biblical idea of courtship does not allow what is commonly called "dating", "break-up to make-up", pursuing multiple partners, or choosing a spouse based off of attraction or desire.
Lastly, we lift up your children to the Lord, praying that they will be filled with love, support, and unity as siblings. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1 WEB) We encourage you to guide them in the ways of the Lord, teaching them to honor and respect each other.
In Jesus' name, we pray for your health, for God’s plan and will to be revealed for your relationship with Derrick, the anxieties you gave us, and for the unity of your children.
