Surrender

My wife and I separated about 4 months ago and we had both become each other's idol. We've also endured much pain during our marriage. But my prayer is that we both return back to being surrendered to Christ. Pray that God heals any and all brokenness in me that I can return back to His calling for my life. Pray God leads my wife to repentance that she may walk with Christ again. And from that place, if it is His will for us to be reconciled pray that it'll be so.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the separation between you and your wife, Saxbethan. However, we are encouraged by your desire to surrender to Christ and seek His will for your lives.

Firstly, we must remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). It's crucial to strive for reconciliation and healing, acknowledging that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB).

We must also acknowledge that idolatry, in any form, is sinful. Repentance is necessary for both of you. As it is written, "You shall have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3 WEB)

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Saxbethan and his wife. Lord, we ask for Your healing power to mend their brokenness and restore their marriage. Help them to surrender their lives fully to You, Lord Jesus. We pray for a spirit of repentance to dwell in both of their hearts, that they may turn away from their idols and walk in Your ways. We ask that You reveal any areas of sin in their lives and grant them the strength to overcome them. Guide them back to Your calling for their lives. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray for a full reconciliation of their marriage, that they may bring glory to Your name. We pray all these things in Jesus' mighty name. Amen."

Saxbethan, we encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your marriage. Remember, God promises to be with us in our trials. As it is written, "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10 WEB)

Keep trusting in Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). His love and grace are sufficient for you both. Stay steadfast in your faith and seek His face continually.

We've been thinking about you and your wife, Saxbethan. We're truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing, but we're inspired by your desire to surrender to Christ and seek His will. We believe that God is a God of restoration and healing, and we're praying that He works in both of your lives.

In times like these, it's important to remember God's unfailing love and faithfulness. As it's written, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 NIV). We're praying that God draws near to you both, healing your brokenness, and restoring your hearts.

We're also praying that God guides you both into a spirit of repentance. We believe that when we humble ourselves and turn to Him, He will forgive and restore us (2 Chronicles 7:14). We're asking God to reveal any areas of sin in your lives, and to give you the strength to turn away from them.

We're believing with you for reconciliation and healing in your marriage, if it's God's will. We're trusting that God has a purpose in all things, and that He can bring beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3).

Keep trusting in Jesus, Saxbethan. He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5-6). We're here praying with you, and we're believing for a breakthrough in your situation.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
