We understand that you are facing surgery tomorrow and are feeling terrified due to having high blood pressure and concerns about stroke and anesthesia. We want to remind you that God is always with us, even in our most challenging moments. In Psalm 56:3 WEB, it is written, "What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in you."
Firstly, let us address the fear and anxiety you are experiencing. God tells us, "Don’t be anxious for anything." (Philippians 4:6). When we seek Him through prayer, He promises, "The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:7). We need to reach out to Him and cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:6-7)
Let us pray for your surgery:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ### as they prepare for surgery tomorrow. We ask, Lord, that You guide the hands of the medical team and grant them wisdom and skill. We pray for ###'s blood pressure to remain stable and for a successful surgery. Specifically, we ask for a hedge of protection against stroke and any adverse effects of anesthesia.
Father, we also pray for Your peace to envelop ###, casting out all fear and anxiety. Remind them of Your presence and Your promises to never leave nor forsake them. (Hebrews 13:5) Help them to trust in You completely.
