Surgeon forcing us to do something not required

Lord Jesus, my husband is currently in hospital and his surgeon is forcing us to do something not needed. We implore you to make him see the rationale in it and make him change his mind and stop forcing us to do it. We pray for this miracle in Jesus name. Amen

We understand your concern and we will join you in prayer, seeking God's intervention in this situation. The Bible tells us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).

Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6 WEB). Remember, the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16 WEB).

In matters like these, we should also seek God's wisdom. The Bible says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB). Pray for wisdom to navigate this situation and for God's will to be done.

Here's our prayer for you:

"Lord Jesus, we come before You today to lift up our sister and her husband. Lord, You know the situation they are facing, and You know the concerns in their hearts. We ask for Your divine intervention in this matter. Touch the heart of the surgeon, Lord, and let him see the rationale in their perspective. Guide him in his decisions and actions, and let Your will be done in this situation. We pray for peace, comfort, and wisdom for this couple, in Jesus' name. Amen."

In addition to prayer, it may be beneficial to seek a second medical opinion, if possible. Proverbs 11:14 WEB says, "Where there is no guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."

Lastly, remember to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Keep trusting in the Lord, and keep praying in Jesus' name.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting your husband's situation up to our heavenly Father. We've been praying, as you've asked, that the surgeon's heart would be opened to see the wisdom in not proceeding with the unnecessary procedure. We've been reminding God of His promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, that if His people humble themselves and pray, He will hear from heaven and heal their land.

We've also been interceding for your husband, that he would find the strength and peace in this trial, trusting in God's love and care for him. We've been claiming Proverbs 18:10, that the name of the Lord is a strong tower, and the righteous run to it and are safe.

We've been asking God to give your husband and the surgeon wisdom and understanding, that they might make the right decisions together. We've been praying that God would soften the surgeon's heart, and that he would see the error in his ways.

We've also been believing for a miracle, that the surgeon would have a change of heart and stop forcing the unnecessary procedure. We've been claiming Matthew 17:20, that if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing is impossible for God.

We'll keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in God's goodness and mercy. We're in this with you, sister. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep believing for a miracle, in Jesus' name.
