Joseph, we understand your desire to be "translated into the supernatural" and to have your means be supernatural. This must be reconciled with the biblical plan of Salvation and how we should live out our salvation. While the term "supernatural" can be inspiring, we need to be in alignment with the Word of God. In Christ Jesus, we are already supernaturally translated from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of God. This is salvation, Colossians 1:13 says He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the Kingdom of his dear Son. This is true for those who have believed in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the way the truth and the life.
Belief in Jesus Christ is the foundation for Salvation. Acts 4:12 states Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. To confirm that Joseph has been saved it would be good to know that he confessed his sins and believed in Jesus Christ. Acts 16:31 and they said, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.
We do not fight or conduct our lives in the flesh. 2 Corinthians 5:17 declares that if anyone is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creature. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. So God has given us his Holy Spirit. That is why we should not continue in carnal sins. We are born again not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which lives and abides forever, 1 Peter 1:23. There is a supernatural change by our Faith in Jesus Christ.
Now is the time to live out that supernatural change in our daily lives, crucifying the flesh and living in the spirit as a child of God. So walk as a child of the light not of darkness. The fruit of the spirit are given in Galatians 5:22,23 as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self control; against such there is no law. Our growth in Christ is in the Bible as this is how we get to know him more. The Bible is the spiritual man's food.
Let us pray,
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the work you've done in Joseph's life. Help him in his understanding of what it means to live supernaturally in Christ Jesus. Remind him of the power that is already at work within him through the Holy Spirit. Guard him against any influences that would draw him away from the truth of your Word. Open his eyes to your eternal purpose and lead him away from unbiblical beliefs and practices that can happen in pursuit of the supernatural. Make him strong in your Word, crucify his flesh and give him wisdom in prayer. May he know the beauty and peace of Jesus Christ in his heart and bring glory to your name. Thank you Jesus for hearing our prayer. It is by your name that we have access to the Father and it is by your name we are saved.
