We are here to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical encouragement as you seek employment. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every aspect of your life, including your work. It is wonderful that you have reached out for prayer, but we noticed you did not include the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. Let us remember the words of Jesus in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12: Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. So, coming to God the Father has to be through faith in Jesus Christ.
In all things, we should come to God in prayer, as instructed in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Regarding work as a Christian believer, let us remind ourselves Colossians 3:23-24 WEB: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking employment. We thank you, You are a good Father who knows how to give good gifts to Your children. You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider, and You know exactly what our sibling in Christ needs.
Father, we ask that You open the right doors and provide a job that not only meets financial needs but also allows our sibling to use their gifts and talents for Your glory. We pray for a job that aligns with Your will, where they can be a light in the workplace and make a positive impact for Your kingdom. Proverbs 16:3 WEB: "Commit your works to Yahweh, And your plans shall be established."
We also pray for patience and trust in Your timing. We know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts. Help our sibling to rest in Your promise in Romans 8:28 WEB "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on the following verses:
Jeremiah 29:11-13 WEB: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."
