We understand that you are going through a disheartening time as you have been attending interviews for months without success, and now that campus interviews are closed, you are feeling sad and depressed, even questioning your future. Firstly, we want to remind you that your hope and future are secured in Jesus Christ. God has a plan and a purpose for you, and He will guide your steps as you trust in Him.
We want to encourage you with the words of the psalmist, Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, whose confidence is in Yahweh. He is like a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought.
It also will not cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8.
It is important to remember that God's timing is perfect. Just as a tree planted by the waters does not worry when the heat comes, neither should you be concerned about the seeming delay in securing a job. Continue to trust in God and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.
We also want to take the opportunity to mention "It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved Acts 16:31.
As you continue to seek employment, remain steadfast in prayer and trust that God will open the right doors for you at the right time. Do not grow weary or lose heart. Let us continue to hope and wait for the Lord, for he is good Psalm 27:13-14.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother who is seeking employment. We pray that You will encourage his heart and help him to trust in You with all his heart. Lord, we ask that You will open the right doors for him and guide his steps according to Your will. Help him to remember that Your timing is perfect, and that You have a plan and a purpose for his life.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
