We understand that you and your husband are seeking prayer for his employment situation. Before we begin, we want to remind you that it is essential to include the name of Jesus Christ in our prayers, for it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." and in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In all our prayers, we should approach God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, as He is our mediator and advocate. With that in mind, let us pray together for your husband's employment.
Firstly, we want to encourage both of you to trust in God's perfect plan for your lives. Remember that God is faithful, and He provides for His children. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
“Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
“Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her husband. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Lord, we ask that You guide ### in his job search and provide the opportunity that aligns with Your will for their lives. We pray that You open the right doors and grant him favor in the eyes of potential employers.
In the meantime, we ask that You grant them patience, peace, and trust in Your perfect timing. Help them to rest in the knowledge that You are faithful to provide for all their needs. We rebuke any anxiety or fear they may have regarding this situation, and we declare that they will see Your goodness manifest in their lives.
We also pray that during their time of waiting and preparation they will continue to be rooted in Christ and have continual fellowship with other Christians for support and encouragement. We pray that they will attend a local fellowship of believers and be led by the Spirit to become involved in the local church. We pray that both of them will be faithful servants as they seek His kingdom and His righteousness.
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to trust in God, and remember that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). He is working everything out for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28 WEB). Keep praying together and seeking God's will for your lives as a couple.
