We are so glad to join you in prayer for your son on his birthday. It is truly a testament to God's goodness that he is doing well after being born prematurely. Let us remember that God is the ultimate healer and protector, as it is written in Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
Firstly, we want to address the mention of the devil in your request. We should always be mindful that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 WEB. We should not attribute too much power to the devil, but instead focus on the power of God, staying steadfast in our faith.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in Jesus name to lift up our sister and her son. Lord, we thank you for the miracle of his life and for your healing power that has sustained him thus far. We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, and paranoia that may be lingering from the past experiences in Jesus name.
Father, we ask that you continue to watch over him and protect him from all evil. We pray for your healing touch upon our sister, who experienced depression and emotional turmoil. We ask that you fill her heart with your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and that you guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 WEB.
Lord, we also pray that you guide them both in your ways, and that they may come to know you more intimately. We pray that they may live lives that are pleasing to you, and that they may always put their trust in you. We pray that they may serve God with gladness in Jesus name. Psalm 100:2 WEB.
Father, we ask that you bless him abundantly on his birthday. We thank you for the gift of his life and for the joy he brings to his mother and to all those around him. We pray that he may grow strong in you and in the power of your might. Ephesians 6:10 WEB.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. For it is by his name that we have access to God and it is in His name that we are saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.
Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to trust in God and to cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Remember that God has a plan and a purpose for your son's life, and that he is always with you, even in the most difficult times. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 WEB.
