We are truly sorry to hear that you are dealing with the distressing situation of identity theft. We will pray for you and address your request, but first, we must align our hearts with God's will and His word. In the WEB Romans 12:14-19 it is written Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Don't set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don't be wise in your own conceits. Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.
It is important to remember that we should not seek revenge or wish harm upon others, even those who have wronged us. Instead, we should trust that God will deal with them in His perfect justice. In the WEB Ephesians 4:31-32 it is written Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has been wronged by identity theft. Lord, You see the injustice and You know the perpetrator. We do not wish the plagues of God upon him, but rather we pray for Your justice to prevail. We ask that You guide and protect our sibling in Christ through this challenging time, and that You would restore what the enemy of their soul has stolen. Help them to forgive and to trust in Your perfect will in Jesus Christ.
We also pray for the man who committed this crime. We ask, Father, that You would convict his heart and draw him to Yourself, that he may repent and be saved in Jesus. Amen.
Be encouraged and remember Jesus answered, I tell you, not seven times, but, seventy times seven. Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants. Matthew 18:21-23 WEB
