We are truly saddened to hear about the abuse you are experiencing and we stand with you in prayer and support. Firstly, we strongly encourage you to seek help from local authorities and support groups in addition to our prayers, as your safety is of utmost importance. The Bible tells us that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
Abuse is never acceptable and is not part of God's plan for our lives. As it says, there is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, 1 John 4:18 WEB. Fear involves torment, and it is clear that the abuse you are experiencing is causing you torment. We pray that God will intervene and bring an end to this abuse. We are also led to pray that God will heal any emotional, physical, and spiritual wounds you have experienced as a result of this abuse. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 WEB
We also pray for the person who is abusing you, that God will change their heart and bring them to repentance. As it is written, Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 WEB.
We must also discuss the fact that prayer requests should be presented to God in the name of Jesus. And whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:13-14 WEB. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. Therefore, let us pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ.
Dear Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up this precious soul who is experiencing abuse. We pray for Your healing, comfort, and protection. Please intervene and bring an end to this abuse. Touch the heart of the abuser and bring them to repentance. We also pray for the authorities and support groups, that they may provide the help and support needed. We ask all of this in Your powerful and holy name, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to remain strong in your faith and to trust in God during this difficult time. Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Remember that God loves you and has a plan for your life.
