Let us join together in prayer, seeking God's will according to His holy Word.
Firstly, we lift up the persecuted Christians around the world, with reports of staggering increases in persecution. We pray for their strength, protection, and perseverance in the face of adversity, remembering the words of Jesus in John 16:33 (WEB), "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
We pray for the peace and salvation of Israel, as tensions rise and enemies threaten their existence. We claim God's promises in Isaiah 41:10 (WEB), "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
We intercede for the salvation of many around the world, including the unreached, as we are commanded in 1 Timothy 2:4 (WEB), "[God] who desires that all people should be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
We cry out for God's protection and intervention for children suffering abuse and violence worldwide, as reported by various sources. We pray Psalm 10:17-18 (WEB), "Lord, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more."
We lift up those on the brink of starvation and suffering from poverty, sickness, natural disasters, and conflict. We pray for God's provision and mercy, as seen in Psalm 146:7-9 (WEB), "who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. Yahweh frees the prisoners. Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous. Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked he turns upside down."
We pray for an awakening in the church universal, for sound biblical teaching, and protection from falling away, as encouraged in 1 Thessalonians 5:6 (WEB), "So then, we shouldn’t sleep, as the rest do, but we should watch and be sober."
We lift up the many personal and family concerns mentioned, including prayers for healing, salvation, deliverance, and reconciliation. We claim the promise of James 5:16 (WEB), "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We rebuke any involvement in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, or other immoral behaviors, as these are against God's design for relationships and marriages. We encourage everyone to pursue godly relationships that align with biblical principles, as seen in Hebrews 13:4 (WEB), "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
Finally, we pray that all these requests be done in the name of Jesus Christ, as He is the one mediator between God and man, and it is only by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Lord Jesus, we come before You with these requests, seeking Your will and Your glory in all things. Please hear our prayers and act according to Your perfect wisdom and love. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
