We are truly saddened to hear about this situation and we will stand with you in prayer for your ###.
Firstly, we want to address the concern about the charges. While we understand your desire to have the charges dropped, we must remember that there are consequences for our actions. The Bible tells us in Galatians 6:7 WEB, "Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." If your ### has done wrong, he must face the earthly consequences, but that does not mean that God cannot turn this situation around for good. Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
However, we must also consider that perhaps this is a wake-up call from God. It is a opportunity to reflect on the choices that led to this point. We also believe that this is an opportunity to trust in God's will, whatever that may be. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also want to remind you that the best thing for your ### is to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and submit to His will. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. (John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.") It is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved. (Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!") If your ### has not already done so, we pray that he will repent and turn to Jesus, not just as a way to avoid consequences, but to avoid eternal consequences.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up this young man to you. Lord, we know that you are a God of forgiveness and mercy, and we ask for that mercy to be extended to him now. We pray that you will work in his heart, that he will see his need for you, and that he will turn to you and repent. We ask that you will help him to face the consequences of his actions with courage and humility, and that you will use this situation for good in his life.
Lord, we also ask that you will guide him as he prepares to graduate and looks to the future. If it is your will for him to be a semi truck driver, we pray that you will make a way, even when it seems impossible. We ask that you will give him wisdom and discernment, and that he will seek your will for his life above all else.
We ask all of these things in Jesus' name, trusting in your perfect will.
Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, trusting that God is in control and that He loves your ### even more than you do. We will continue to pray for your ### and for your family during this difficult time.
