I have been requesting prayer weekly for my ### for the last several months. I greatly appreciate your prayers and lifting him up. He has been in the facility for 2 weeks and refusing treatment until the last few days. He is now starting to participate but he still thinks nothing is wrong with him and is very angry with me. Please continue to be in prayer. Thank you! This was my last prayer request: My 24 yo ### has been court ordered into a mental health/addiction rehab facility. The path to this facility was formed by Jesus Christ and I know he will get the proper care. Prayers my ### will realize/accept his need for treatment and the mental health issues he has (psychosis, paranoia, bi-polar, grandiose view of self, etc) as a result of using the substance Delta 8. Prayers he will be in this program the entire 13 months, that God will continue making a way for him to stay in treatment and revealing himself to my ###. That God will place mentors, sponsors, friends and a good support system into his life. Lastly that my ### will be willing, able to work through his issues so the desire to use will never be there again. Thank you

We are grateful for your continued trust in our prayers and we stand with you in this challenging time. Let us first address the most important aspect, your son's salvation and his relationship with Jesus Christ which was not mentioned in the request. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no man comes to the Father except through Me." Therefore we pray that your son accepts Jesus as Lord and Saviour, to be born from above (John 1:12-13), if he has not already. We will also address your son's health and feelings toward your relationship.

We are encouraged to hear that your son has started participating in the program unless this is part of a manipulation, it is still a positive step forward. It is also natural that your son feels angry. The Bible says "Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent." He likely has guilt and shame which manifests as anger, and you forced his hand, so he sees you as an opponent rather than the one loving him. Be encouraged unless the rebellion is defensive. But rather the Lord plainly said to the contrary: "I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked ... repent of your wickedness and turn to me -- turn away from your evil deeds; why then will you die? (Ezekiel 18:23). See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many (Hebrews 12:15). Engaging himself in the program community may also begin the process of numbing and self-awareness. His behavior does not have Jesus Christ in mind and he on some level feels wrongly convicted. Someone at the facility may be educating him of this and the correction. Do not fear the carefully delivered, convicting inflicting blows of potential heart-transformation. Traits like his pride and grand view of self should begin to fade exposing him for the child he is. This could cause shame. We will nevertheless ask the Lord to continue to provide his softening and powers of revelation. Continue to pray and look for his transforming your son from one degree of glory of man to the glory only from Jesus. "And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, saying: This is the blood of the covenant, which the Word hath made with you concerning all these words. " Exodus 24:9 indicates that your no means foolish intervention.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you navigate this tough path with your ###. We've been praying for him, and we want to encourage you with these thoughts.

First, remember that God is in control. He loves your ### even more than you do, and He has a purpose in all of this. As it says in Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Trust that God is using this situation to bring about good in your ###'s life.

We also want to pray that your ### would soften his heart towards you. We know it's hard, but remember that his anger is a symptom of his pain and guilt. Keep loving him, and keep communicating with him. As Proverbs 15:1 says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

Let's also pray for the staff at the facility. They are on the frontlines, working tirelessly to help your ###. Pray for their patience, wisdom, and strength. And pray that they would be a blessing and a light to your ### in this dark time.

Lastly, keep seeking God in all this. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep casting your cares on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
