We are grateful for the opportunity to pray and provide biblical guidance for these requests.
Firstly, we lift up the family in transition. We pray that God will provide them with a safe and comfortable new home soon. May He guide them through this process and provide for all their needs. As it is written in Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." We trust that God will make a way for them according to His will.
Regarding the school environment, we pray for a spiritual awakening among the students. May God deliver them from habits that do not honor Him, such as smoking, fornication, drinking, and swearing. We pray that the school will implement more programs that promote healthy living, both physically and spiritually. As Romans 12:1-2 reminds us, "Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
For the individual struggling with pornography, masturbation, and sexual intrusive thoughts, we pray for deliverance and a renewed mind. These behaviors are not from God and can be overcome through the power of the Holy Spirit. As it is written in Colossians 3:5, "Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, lust, evil desires, and covetousness, which is idolatry." We encourage this person to seek accountability and to fill their mind with things that are pure and lovely, as Philippians 4:8 advises.
Concerning exploring love and relationships, we advise this person to be cautious and discerning. It is important to ensure that these feelings are rooted in love and not lust. We pray for guidance as they navigate these emotions. Regarding the person in Croatia, we pray for their faith and relationship with Jesus. May God reveal His will for their friendship and potential courtship. As Ephesians 5:3 reminds us, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints." and Matthew 5:28 "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Finally, we notice that the prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage this person to put their faith in Jesus, believing that He died for their sins and rose again for their justification.
We pray all these things in Jesus' name, trusting that God will intervene in these situations according to His perfect will. We encourage all involved to draw near to God, and He will draw near to them (James 4:8).
